about me

My first camera was a hand me down from my father. It was a Pentax 35mm film camera that had all the bells and whistles. My college photography professor had a profound influence on the way I captured the world around me. I went to college on a drawing scholarship and my observation of light and shadow proved helpful when learning the intricacies of committing light to silver.
My own work is documentary in nature, whether it be a portrait, a lifestyle or a food image, it’s always about the beauty of time standing still. Equally comfortable documenting a location across the globe, or the beauty of my own home town, I have spent my professional career capturing time. My husband patiently waits while his food gets cold, so I can capture an image of an artfully made plate. I am constantly composing the world around me.
